Vedanarayanan Seshadri, Managing Director, Royal Sundaram General Insurance
Royal Sundaram General Insurance on Wednesday announced the appointment of Vedanarayanan Seshadri as the new Managing Director effective May 28, 2025.
Seshadri brings over 30 years of BFSI experience including 15 years in insurance leadership roles, a statement from the company said. His expertise includes insurance distribution and digital transformation-enabled customer experience improvements, among others. He holds degrees in engineering, marketing, finance and an advanced management programme from INSEAD, France.
He was most recently MD of Mahindra Insurance Brokers. He has also served in senior leadership roles in Cholamandalam MS General Insurance, TATA AIG Life Insurance, and other BFSI enterprises.
Commenting on the development, Harsha Viji, Executive Vice-Chairman, Sundaram Finance, said, “Veda brings over 30 years of experience in the BFSI sector, including senior roles in life and general insurance. His deep understanding of the insurance market, customer preferences, and leadership skills will benefit him in this new role.”
